Backstory
Years ago, Liang's mother was well loved by her village and beyond. She was beyond beautiful and even creatures of other realms took notice of her. One Immortal in particular found her wonderful and tried to claim her. She was enchanted by him and let herself be seduced, only to realize too late how far above her station she was. Fleeing in fear, she tried to hide herself away from him. This upset him and he set a curse upon her.
At the time of his birth, the curse took hold. She did not survive and the midwife found the baby glowed a twinkling light. It took many cultivators to control the power and place a seal on the child. One they knew would not last forever.
And so, he was raised in isolation and given the name Liang. With a monster nearby, they planned to sacrifice him to the creature in the hopes that when the seal weakened he would destroy himself and the creature at the same time. When he turned eighteen, they felt the cracks form and they took him to an altar near the beast, leaving him with nothing but a chain of gold in his hair and terror at the treatment.
Now, he waited for his end...
Personality
Liang is a kind but naive young man. He's never been allowed more than to read and paint and dance. He knows nothing of his birth nor why he had to live in isolation. As far as he knows that is just the way things were meant to be and he faults no one for it. Besides, no one was ever cruel to him as far as he knows, always having silks to wear and delicious foods to eat. Something like a spoiled little godling.
He doesn't know how to take care of himself but latches onto others quickly. It's easy for him to trust when shown kindness and he smiles easily. At times the pains in his chest scare him but he tries not to let others worry about it.
Abilities
He is gifted in the arts so he loves to paint, sing, and dance. He also is very well read and has a gifted mind which remembers everything he sees and hears. Such things help him to pass the time since he is so used to being alone.
When food was brought to him, he was taught how to meditate to control his qi. This is about all he knows how to do with it though and knows to use it in order to control the pains in his chest. With a cultivation partner, he can even control this completely but is unaware of that currently.
What he doesn't know is that he has the curse of The Falling Star on his heart. If left unchecked his qi can grow wild and he can start tearing things apart around him until he can be calmed again. Currently it is unclear how to remove this curse and he's never been told that he is cursed in the first place.
